Brought to you by...
The Summer Math Photo Challenge was brought to you by the #MTBoS, a somewhat decentralized but passionate and supportive community of math educators on Twitter. Over twelve weeks we garnered almost 3,000 images, from people around the world, that reflect math ideas as they present themselves to us in our daily lives.
But this was also a project built and sustained by individuals who, between June and late August 2015 supported the project with their time and ideas. They spent time brainstorming the weekly challenges; providing authorship and feedback on the content of those challenges; translating those challenges every week; creating images out of the schedules so the information could be passed around easily; and hosting and archiving individual weeks. So...
...a HUGE thank you to everyone who advised, hosted, and translated the Math Photo Challenge this summer, including: @Simon_Gregg, @druizaguilera, @tocamates, @celinerc, @carloliwitter, @geonz, @trianglemanCSD, @wahedahbug, @EvershedK, @BridgeDunbar, @LizaDGoldberg, @PaulaKrieg and @MathMInds.
Also, thank you to everyone, wherever you are, who played with us this summer by engaging in conversations around the images, sharing your own photos and/or passing on others' posts. There would have been no #mathphoto15 with people who wanted to play!
